Facet conducted a street tree inventory as part of the urban forestry update for the City of Ellensburg, Washington’s longest-standing active Tree City USA

To support PSE’s Energize Eastside project, Facet’s arborists conducted a comprehensive tree inventory that stretched from Redmond to Renton.

Facet has provided arborist services on an “on-needed” basis for various cities. Our scope of work for such projects has included field-based work such as tree inventories and tree risk assessments, wildlife monitoring, urban forestry permit reviews, as well as consultation on tree management and tree planting plans.

Facet provided the City of Mercer Island with a comprehensive tree inventory of city-owned trees within the defined section of the Town Center and Island Crest Way in 2018. These included trees that were in tree grates, and medians, and incorporated into the sidewalk design.

Working collaboratively with the King County Division of Water and Land Resources, Facet created the Guide to Developing Effective Tree Regulations on Private Property to fill a critical need for guidance on developing and implementing private tree regulations. The Guide includes a synthesis of existing regulations in King County jurisdictions that were gathered through code research, an online survey of jurisdictional planning staff, and interviews with four municipalities
