Town Center Street Tree Inventory: Mercer Island

Facet provided a detailed street tree inventory and management plan for publicly owned trees within the Mercer Island Town Center and Island Crest Way corridor. Arborists assessed trees located in grates, medians, and integrated sidewalk spaces, collecting data on species, size, condition, and infrastructure impact using ArcGIS Field Maps.

Findings were compiled into a report outlining priority areas for reconstruction, strategies for improving tree health and urban canopy coverage, and recommendations for species selection and sidewalk design. The final Street Tree Management Plan, delivered in 2024, supports long-term planning for a more resilient and functional urban forest in Mercer Island’s downtown core.
