Street Tree Inventory: City of Ellensburg

Facet updated the City of Ellensburg’s street tree inventory, assessing approximately 6,400 public trees and planting sites along rights-of-way, in tree wells and planter strips, and in select city parks. Data on species, size, condition, and infrastructure impacts was collected using ArcGIS Field Maps and delivered in a geodatabase to support long-term canopy management.

As the longest-standing Tree City USA in Washington, Ellensburg continues to invest in strategic replanting and maintenance. Facet’s final report summarized species diversity, average tree size, maintenance needs, and recommendations aligned with the City’s 2023–2028 Strategic Vision for sustainable infrastructure and resource management.
