Lakefront Park Phase II: City of Lake Forest Park
Facet is the prime consultant for the planning and design of a new waterfront park in Lake Forest Park, transforming former residential properties into a vibrant community space. The site includes the lower segment and mouth of Lyon Creek, a salmon-bearing stream, along with significant trees and wetlands.
Our team worked closely with the City to understand site conditions, regulatory requirements, and community priorities while ensuring minimal environmental impact. A robust engagement process—including online surveys, charrettes, stakeholder meetings, and city council sessions—allowed the public to actively shape the park’s design.
Key elements include restoration of Lyon Creek’s buffer, integrated viewing areas, and enhanced water access with a beach and dock. The park will also feature a play area, community space, parking, and walking and biking connections, all designed to maintain a strong sense of place while minimizing environmental impact.
